Twenty One Pilots Triumph Remains Strong Even After a Month
Twenty One Pilots occupy the top place on The Billboard Artist 100 during 4 weeks (why? buy 21 pilots tickets and you will find out). As rule, first places are inconsistent and they change occupiers quickly. However, that is not the case. The songs of the duo are likely to be fashionable despite a month, year or century.
The Artist 100 was launched in 2014 and now it is considered to be a chat where popularity of celebrities is measured. To be a member of the Artist 100 a star has to visit the Social 50, Top Albums Sales and the Billboard Hot 100. It is a long way to get enrolled on the Artist 100, isn’t it?
Twenty One Pilots results within 5 past weeks are the following:
- 29% of digital song sales;
- 24% of streaming;
- 28% of airplay.
In other words, the chat Artist 100 deals with the musical data about the song’s track sales, airplay rating and streaming. The reaction of fans in social media plays an important role as well. A lot of points are taken into account to define the best band of the week. If the results don’t get worsen even after 4 weeks, the winner is a real opponent on the stage of outstanding musicians.
According to the statistics, Twenty One Pilots cuts their own records:
- Nielsen Music claims that the single “Heathens” leaves behind hundreds of songs and gets the 2nd place on the Radio Song Chart, 135 million of listeners during the week;
- 18 million streaming songs only in the USA;
- 69, 000 on Digital Songs (the 4th place).
Kings of Leon with the song “Walls” occupy the 2nd place in The Artist 100. The victory was close to them but Twenty One Pilots grabbed it firmly. Obviously they like to be called the champions. However, Kings of Leon gained the victory on the Billboard 200.
On November 5 the current situation on the Artist 100 chart is the following:
- Twenty One Pilots;
- Kings of Leon;
3-4. The Chainsmokers and Drake;
5-6. The Weekend.
On the previous chat (October 29), the first place belonged to Twenty One Pilots and Green Day. Since the Artist 100 launching, the top places have never been occupied by rock bands.
